Phones, tablets and laptops, worked on at our bench in Champaign.
Two quick things
Before you bring it in
They save a trip, and one of them we can't do for you.
Keep your passcode with you
Don't type your passcode or password into this website, an email or a ticket note. Hold on to it and bring it with you.
If your repair needs the device unlocked, we'll ask you at the counter and you can enter it yourself. Apple says the same: never give your passcode or Apple Account password to anyone.
Apple devices: turn off Find My first
We can't start a repair on an iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple Watch until Find My is off. Apple's Activation Lock keeps a device tied to its owner's Apple Account. While it's on, a repair cannot be completed or properly tested, so we cannot start work until it is off.
You'll need your Apple Account password to do this. We can't remove it for you, and neither can Apple without proof of purchase.
iPhone or iPad
- iOS 27 or iPadOS 27 or later: open the Find My app, select your device, tap the More button, tap Repair or Trade In, then tap Enable.
- iOS 26 or iPadOS 26 or earlier: go to Settings › [your name] › Find My, tap Find My [device], then turn off Find My [device].
Mac laptop or desktop
- Choose Apple menu › System Settings, then click your name at the top of the sidebar.
- Click iCloud. On macOS 15 or later: next to “Saved to iCloud”, click See All, click Find My Mac, then click Turn Off. On macOS 14 or earlier: click Find My Mac, then click Turn Off.
Apple Watch
- Unpair the watch from your iPhone in the Watch app. Activation Lock is removed automatically.
Screen broken, or the device won't turn on?
- Use another device: open the Find My app, or go to icloud.com/find.
- Select the device, then choose Repair or Trade-In, or Remove This Device, and follow the onscreen steps.
- If you can't manage it, bring the device in anyway. We'll help you do it at the counter, as long as you know your Apple Account password.
Once you have the device back, turn Find My on again so it stays protected. Android phones and Windows laptops have their own account locks. Know your Google or Microsoft sign-in, and ask us if you're not sure.

Step 2
Two ways to get it to us
Either one tells us everything, so nothing is asked twice when you get here.
Prefer the old form with the printed terms and a signature?
This is our older check-in form. Use one or the other, not both: filling in both makes two tickets for one device.

Submitted the form?
Tick I agree above and submit, and you'll see a ticket number. Write it down, then track your repair here.
